Lincoln City Beach Walk YRE 2012
Pure out and back Beach experience. Lincoln City is a favorite kite flying destination on the Oregon Coast and the beach is a great place to see the effects. Winter seas can produce "sea suds" and the wind creates dunes, riffles, and utterly smooth surfaces as she pleases. Our walk takes you from the south end of the beach at the "D" River to the Chinook Winds Casino. While not suitable for wheeled conveyances of any kind, the sand offers a fairly level but strenuous 10k walk so is rated a 1C for surface.
Please do not attempt this walk during storm, high tide or other high water conditions.
This walk qualifies for Oregon's Coastal Walk challenge.
