Lincoln City Beach Walk 2017
Lincoln City Beach walk has grown. Walk from the D River to Roads End for 10k then turn around and walk from the D River to Siletz Bay and back for the longest pure beach walk on the Oregon Coast. Walk a little or walk a lot year round
Lincoln City is a favorite kite flying destination on the Oregon Coast and the beach is a great place to see the effects of wind and water. Winter seas can produce "sea suds," and the wind creates dunes, riffles, and utterly smooth surfaces as she pleases. Our 10k walk takes you from the "D" River to Roads End just past the Chinook Winds Casino. While not suitable for wheeled conveyances of any kind, the sand offers a fairly level but strenuous 10k walk so is rated a 1C for surface.
Please do not attempt this walk during storm, high tide or other high water conditions.
This walk qualifies for Oregon's Coastal Walk challenge.
